1971 Chevy Chevelle Sound System Upgrade
The owner of this beautifully restored 1971 Chevy Chevelle brought his showpiece to Quality Auto Sound in Greeley for a Sound System Upgrade that goes far beyond what was available when the car was new. The heart of the new system is a RetroSound Long Beach in-dash receiver that perfectly reproduces the look and trim of the original factory radio. Hiding behind the classic look is a deck with Bluetooth, dual USB inputs and preouts that make a complete sound upgrade possible. Full-range sound comes from JL Audio C2690TX 6×9-inch coaxial three-way car speakers in the rear and Kenwood KFC-835C, low-profile 3-1/2-inch car speakers installed in the dash with custom brackets. The customer selected a JL Audio amp to power all the mids and highs, providing complete control over the sound. Big-time bass comes from a JL Audio CP208LGW3V3 MicroSub package with two subwoofers that deliver the kind of output that’s normally possible only with much larger systems. Bass power is from a JL Audio XD600/1V2 mono amplifier. High-speed NexD switching means unprecedented efficiency. This amplifier is capable of delivering a full 600 watts all day and night. We also selected a very low key location for the bass knob for maximum control over the sub. With the sound well taken care of we turned to security, where the customer decided to go with a Viper 5806V two-way alarm and remote start with a range up to one mile. The new, rechargeable Responder LE transceivers bring intuitive single-handed operation as brilliant LEDs confirm all commands. The result is a classic vehicle with the latest in car audio and security features. The 1971 Chevy Chevelle Sound System Upgrade was designed and installed by the professionals at Quality Auto Sound 3621 W. 10th St. Suite B Greeley, CO 80634 970-356-1588. We can recommend and install a sound system to fit your vehicle and budget.
