Chevy Silverado Car Speakers Upgrade
A customer brought in his old Chevy Silverado looking to upgrade the overall sound starting with Kenwood speakers all around. The crew began by changing out the old factory radio with a JVC KDT915BTS Bluetooth receiver. This unit lets you take Alexa for a ride. With Alexa built-in, you can ask her to play music, place calls, listen to audiobooks, hear the news, check the weather, control smart home devices, get directions, and more. For new, crisp clear sound, the crew installed a pair of Kenwood KFCX174 6.5 speakers in the front along with a pair of Kenwood KFC4675C 4×6 car speakers in the rear. To further the gentleman’s car audio experience, they installed Hushmat sound deadening material inside all door panels along with 2 sheets of Hushmat’s pro wave breakers placed directly behind the speaker magnet. This material will eliminate the standing wave/back wave from the Kenwood speakers. To power these speakers, an Alpine KTP445U powerpack 4 channel amplifier was added behind the JVC car stereo. This will give him an additional 200 watts of power for added loudness and quality without having to the traditional amp. Now to protect his investment, the pros installed a Viper 5106V remote start system. The gentleman loves his new found sound and radio.
