Classic Volkswagen Bug System Upgrade

The owner wanted a complete Classic Volkswagen Bug System Upgrade. Car stereo and security were both on the agenda. Keeping the owner’s retro radio to preserve the classic look, the decision was to go with an all-Kicker sound system. It started with a Kicker 43CXA6005 5-channel amplifier. These amps use an optimized circuit layout and highly efficient heat sinks to reach massive power levels. This amplifier puts out 300 watts mono for the subwoofer and 75 watts in each of four channels for the full-range speakers. Did we mention a subwoofer? That is a Kicker 43CWR102 10-inch sub mounted on the back window deck. As part of the CompR series, it features dual voice coils for flexible wiring options, large magnets, a thicker cone and an improved suspension system to produce a powerful, reliable bass machine. Full-range sound is provided by a pair of Kicker 41KSC654 6.5-inch 2-way speakers in the front, and a pair of 41KSC694 6-by-9-inch speakers installed beside the subwoofer on the back window deck. These speakers are from Kicker’s elite KS series and provide coaxial design with accurate sound, extended bass and smooth highs. For the security upgrade, the owner selected a CodeAlarm CA1153 with add-on sensors to cover the front and back. This security system features two metal-clad remote controls, weatherproof siren, dual-stage magnetic shock sensor and starter interrupt. This Classic Volkswagen Bug System Upgrade was installed by the experts at Audio Express, 6710 W Camelback, Glendale AZ.
