Alpine R-S69 6x9 Coaxial Speakers

The Alpine R-S69 6x9 Coaxial Speakers provide a compelling new choice for anyone with a vehicle that uses 6 x 9-inch speakers. They have instantly caught the attention of the professionals at Audio Express / Quality Auto Sound. You’ve probably heard the Type-R speakers that have been available for many years, and appreciated the listening experience. The good news is Alpine engineers used the highly successful Type-R speakers as a foundation, and then applied performance and hardware improvements to create these new R-Series speakers. The remake begins with the 1-inch silk dome tweeters, where a new ring-type voice coil gives increased efficiency, better tonal balance and more realistic highs. The mid-woofer’s Wave Guide technology, in the form of a phase plug in the center of the woofer cone, enhances in-car sound dispersion and helps eliminate phase distortion. That is paired with a unique Dynamic eXpander ring to stiffen the cone around the Wave Guide and eliminate a big source of distortion in typical designs. The driver is a large square-wire dual-layer voice coil and high-performance linear-drive motor that is capable of cruising at 100 watts RMS all day and handling peaks of 300 watts. All that power is going to a multi-layer hybrid fiber cone with H.A.M.R. surround. If you’re tired of having your speakers punctured or kicked in, you’ll be happy to hear about the new metal mesh grills designed to provide added sturdiness at the edges, so there’s less threat of damage. The result is a speaker system that is turning heads among Audio Express / Quality Auto Sound customers. Be sure to come in soon and audition the Alpine R-S69 6x9 coaxial speakers.
